Middle School

Learning by purpose,
learning by faith

Middle school is a challenging phase in a young student’s life. MCS has become that support system for more than 50 years to many families. Middle school students begin to develop their values, interests, and social circles. Our middle school curriculum is thoughtfully crafted with these multifaceted challenges in mind.

Small Classroom Structure

Having smaller class sizes gives a greater advantage for academic success and building creative solutions. Our students feel more confident at asking questions and taking educational risks that is challenging in larger class settings. Confidence is learning.

Dedicated Teachers

Our teachers feel called to MCS and are dedicated, passionate, and living examples of a true stewards of Christ. Our teachers are in cooperation with parents to meet individual needs and to instill good study habits, self-motivation, and responsibility to God, community, family, and self.

Christ-centered Education

MCS is committed to providing excellent Christ-centered education with numerous opportunities for students to be well-rounded, confident, and prepared to use their spiritual gifts for Christ. Education is important but placing an emphasis on one’s character is even greater.

Excellent Updated Educational Tools

Technology is changing every day and so is the way we live. It is the goal of MCS to research and update educational tools, resources, and textbooks to better EQUIP our students for a future of success. MCS uses BJU in every core subject except Bible. It gives us the ability to create and modify the curriculum to meet the needs of every student.

Equip-Serve-Impact

Education isn’t about knowing facts but about learning how to use information. We believe that it’s important for students to learn how to think critically about subjects they study every day.

What Makes Our Middle School Unique?

We are not just a middle school who has excellent Christ-centered education, but we have an entire program that works together that makes our school unique.

Biblical Perspective &
Christian Environment

Biblical perspective curriculum and a Christian environment is very beneficial especially at this age. Students adapt their own perspective on life and begin to shape who they are. Having a Biblical perspective curriculum and a Christian environment is very beneficial as students mature. It can be as simple as turning the desk in a different direction or having teams in the classroom that enhance learning to be more successful.

Friendships that Become Family

Christian friendships are important for middle school students. The influence of the right friends encourages and provides support in every aspect of life.

Inside the Classroom

There are many challenges for middle school aged children. Not only is each student shifting from childhood to adolescence, but a typically middle school student can only focus for 10-20 minutes at a time. Because of this, MCS teachers have strong classroom-management techniques and implement specialized strategies to connect with each student.

– Turning the desk in a different direction
– Having teams in the classroom that enhance learning to be more successful.
– Critical-thinking class projects that are more hands-on-learning.
– Invite guest speakers who specialize in the subject areas.
– Having visual and auditory resources for all students.
– Encourage and pray with the students and being a great support.

Bridge to High School

As students finish middle school and start preparing for high school, each student begins to set up a foundation of what they have learned.

Students meet with our guidance counselor to set their future for success so by the end of the year, students are confident as they bridge to their next four years of high school.
