Maranatha Christian School

Our Services

Chapel services are an important part of our students’ spiritual development. Students spend time together in worship, prayer, and study of God’s Word.

Chapel is an opportunity for students to deepen their understanding and ownership of the gospel. The goal of chapel is to equip students to understand their identity in Christ as a foundation for their lives. Equip-Serve-Impact!

EQUIP– with Biblical truths in how to live for Christ

SERVE– praying, preparing hearts, seeking opportunity

IMPACT bearing fruit that will change lives

Elementary Chapel

Wednesdays at 8:30am (K5-5th grade) Come and join us! Chapel is always a fun and exciting time when all the elementary grades come together to learn more about God.

Middle & High School Chapel

Wednesdays at 11:45am (6th-12th grade) Come Join Us!
Chapel is more than just a devotional, its guiding our student body in group worship and servanthood.

The Bible has a great deal to say about servanthood because the central theme of the Bible is the Servant of all—Jesus Christ. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many”. (Mark 10:45). When we give Jesus Christ His rightful place as Lord of our lives, His lordship will be expressed in the way we serve others (Mark 9:35; 1 Peter 4:10; John 15:12-13).

The following information are a few of our latest outreach programs.

2023 manna house

The 2023 Offering from a few chapel services was used to donate 48 cases of water to the Manna House. That’s 1,920 bottles of water!

2022 Angel Tree

The Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of children in our local area. Many grades participate in this program each year and are always excited to give.

2023 Local Organizations

Our High School students visit many organizations that help make Florence a better place.

2022-2023 fwb family ministries

2022 Harvest of Hope

Harvest of Hope is a food bank in Florence. There is always a need for help and canned goods. The elementary students especially love to bring their own canned goods to donate to this organization.

2022-2024 Serving Christ

MCS is blessed to have so many young people who answer the call to serve. Students use their talents throughout the year but using them in chapel is special. Devotionals, instrumental performances, and singing praise are some of the tasks our students participate in during our weekly chapels.
