Student Life

Maranatha Christian School

Student
Life

From retreats and athletic events to after-school activities, every part of student life at MCS is intentionally designed to inspire hearts, challenge minds, and connect our community.
These experiences go beyond the classroom, helping students grow in character, leadership, and faith while building lasting friendships.

Where Community & Spirit Come Alive!

One of the best ways to experience the MCS community is by attending an athletic event on campus.

Our athletic games are an unforgettable experience, bringing families, students, alumni, and even the littlest BULLDOGS together in the heart of our campus. From cheering in the stands to gathering with friends at our soccer tailgate, the atmosphere is filled with excitement and unity.

Chapel Services

Each Wednesday, students from K5 through 12th grade come together as one MCS community to pause from academics and focus their hearts on our living Savior.

Chapel is a welcoming space where students are encouraged to grow spiritually, discover their identity in Christ, and learn how to apply God’s wisdom to real-life situations. Through uplifting worship, engaging games, and inspiring guest speakers, our weekly chapel becomes a powerful and memorable part of student life.

extracurricular activities

School electives at MCS are designed to strengthen each student’s unique skills and interests.
From creative arts to technology and leadership, these opportunities often spark passions that lead to future careers and ministries. Many students have discovered their calling through the very electives they explore here.

Who Let The dogs out?

At MCS, we are proud to be part of the BULLDOG FAMILY!
Our students show off their school spirit with themed dress-up days during home games, where creativity and pride shine.

Spirit Rallies, the Homecoming Parade, and the MCS Alumni Homecoming events are some of the most anticipated traditions, bringing together students, staff, families, and alumni.

Another exciting tradition is the Spirit Link competition—a fun, friendly rivalry among classes that also serves as a fundraiser for our senior class.

All these events help create lasting memories and a strong sense of belonging, reinforcing what it means to be part of something bigger.

Go, BULLDOGS!

high school Excursions

High school trips at MCS are more than just travel—they’re purposeful experiences that foster growth, leadership, and connection.
Whether it’s a mission trip, educational tour, or team-building retreat, these journeys take learning beyond the classroom. Students are challenged to step out of their comfort zones, experience new cultures or communities, and develop a deeper understanding of the world and their role in it.

The Anchorage Christian Camp, The WILDS, Clemson University Calibration, Charleston Biology Quest, Bob Jones University Performing Arts, TRICON, and many more!

STEM

At MCS, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education is woven into classroom learning from elementary through high school.
In the early grades, students explore STEM concepts through hands-on activities that build curiosity and problem-solving skills. As they progress into middle and high school, students take on more complex challenges that prepare them for real-world innovation. Our students are encouraged to think critically, collaborate, and develop solutions to real-life problems. STEM at MCS equips students not only for future careers but also to be thoughtful, skilled leaders in a rapidly changing world.
