Maranatha Christian School offers college preparatory curriculum that challenges students to gain independence while thinking critically and communicating effectively through speaking and writing.

We offer a rigorous and comprehensive selection of college preparatory courses designed to encourage students to think critically, work collaboratively, and invest spiritually.  With over 40 Honors and Advanced Placement courses in every discipline including Fine Arts and Foreign Language, our academic program prepares students for the nation’s top colleges and universities.

Electives That Prepare for the Future

Teachers For Tomorrow- A partnership between the Division of Teacher Education at Bob Jones University and Christian Schools. Our students who are interested in the teaching profession can take this one-year course and also use it as a DUEL CREDIT!

MCS Aviation- This aviation program is a unique opportunity for MCS students as it prepares them to take their written pilot exam while going thru part of a ground school course. They are given face to face time with pilots and instructors. The MCS Aviation Program has taken learning to new heights in 2024, as Buddy DeFields accomplished his first solo flight.

Other Electives: Performing, Visual, & Culinary Arts. Choir, Technology, STEM, Weightlifting, Yearbook, and Life Skills.

Leadership & Student of the Month

The MCS Leadership Club– is designed to encourage students to stand strong in their faith, participating in phenomenal things both on and off campus, and give opportunities for students to lead at MCS. It’s an honor to be nominated and has many benefits for the students.

Student of the Month– recognizes a boy and girl high school student who shows spiritual leadership, character, academic achievement or improvement, perseverance through trials, and other aspects of a student’s life and academic career. They are given student perks!
